Team-Building Events at Dragonfly Floral and Farm

Learn team-building skills including: collaboration, communication, negotiation, and better listening - while building beautiful floral arrangements within a group. Laugh. Have Fun. Renew your spirit.
Dragonfly Floral and Farm, a 6 acre organic flower farm in the quaint town of Healdsburg, offers team-building events for companies, and organizations. This is perfect way to augment annual meetings, sales trainings, or as a company incentive.
Our events are fresh, original and customized to each group. We invite the personal creativity of your individual members to come out and play while negotiating the design of a gorgeous floral arrangement within a group dynamic.
What we offer:
A tour of our 6 acre organic flower farm and insight on what it takes to have a successful floral business in today’s marketplace. Dragonfly Floral has been farming for over 28 years! Your group will enjoy this brief inspired history and will have a greater appreciation for everything floral and the principles of design.
Pam Bell, our program director and teacher, will demonstrate how to build a floral arrangement and will discuss universal design principles. She will give step by step instructions so your team will be confident in taking on this challenge.
We will divide your group into teams. A leader will be assigned to each team and will be given a specific leadership style in which to accomplish the task at hand. We will happily integrate any business principles you are wishing to introduce or promote within your group, i.e. better listening, customer satisfaction, adopting a new strategy, the art of negotiation, etc.
The floral arranging period will last from 30-45 minutes. The groups will be timed and encouraged throughout to utilize these new business principles and leadership styles.
There will be a final judging. The teams arrangement that looks most like the instructors will win a prize.
You are welcome to take the finished arrangements with you to grace your tables at that nights dinner, your conference space for the next days meeting, or they can be given away in a random drawing. Some companies even like to donate them to the local Senior Center or Care Facility here in Healdsburg.
We will serve lemonade and cookies, or cheese and local Sonoma County wines, depending on your needs and your budget.
The entire event will last approximately 2-2.5 hours depending on your agenda.
